Creative Jam – Poland’s First Freerunning Competition

From Filip “Philipek” Stachowiak:
On 11 and 12 of February, freerunners from all over Poland will come to Warsaw to take part in the first Polish freerunning competition of creativity in movement, which will take place on a special gym during the two-day Creative Jam.

On the first day, participants will have a unique chance to learn from and get inspired by two special guests, who will add splendour to the event. Pavel “Pasha” Petkuns from Latvia and Alexander “White” Zyulev from Russia will conduct two-hour workshops and will be there for everyone.

The second day will see Polish first freerunning competition. Contestants’ runs will be assessed by four judges in such areas as flow, style, creativity of movement, difficulty and safety. The obstacle course consisting of scaffoldings and special vault boxes will be designed so as to encourage freerunners to find in themselves as much creativity as possible.

The main organiser of Creative Jam is Parkour United Association. Detailed information can be found on official website of the event: www.creativejam.parkourunited.pl.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Meets Parkour

Image From ComicsAlliance.com
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been part of modern pop culture for decades and it has continued with that trend by introducing parkour into its repertoire. In the latest issue of the recently relaunched TMNT comic book series, writers Tom Waltz, Kevin Eastman, and Dan Duncan have the amphibious fighting squad experience a chance encounter with a French, freerunning vigilante. That’s all we know from the previews, but you can check them out for yourself here!

Parkour Visions – 13 Year old Parkour

Parkour Visions in Seattle, Washington saw some of its youngest members hit up Gasworks Park and the Parkour Visions gym on a rainy day. 13-year-olds Oliver and Andrew will show that their youth means nothing when it comes to discipline, skill, and control. We’ll let their parkour speak for itself. Check it out below!

Over the months Parkour.com has posted projects from ApeConnection, Red Bull, and Gimme10Studios – all of which are lucky enough to work/have worked in some capacity with Tunc “Leech” Uysaler. Tunc has been creating, editing, and sharing projects faster than we can report on them. Below you will find a few tremendously well edited videos that he has dropped in an astoundingly short amount of time. Also be sure to keep an eye out for a super, secret web series that Tunc has hinted at.

Several shoes are used as examples including an average trainer, which gets blasted for its excessive padding, and the feiyue, Ryan’s preferred minimalist shoe. Ryan Ford and Dr. Ken also give tips on how to move toward a more natural footing in parkour. Check out the video below!
